Don't know if they are all beautiful but here they are.

VZ-24 in 308. I picked the barrel out of a 55 gallon drum of throw-aways. Shoots well enough to take 3 bucks in one drive. First and last checkering job I will ever do.

Another VZ-24. 22-250 PD gun. Krieger. Barrel has been set back 3 times. It is about done. Laminated walnut stock.

CZ-527 in 223. Krieger barrel, laminated walnut stock. One of my PD rifles. Used primarily as a "drive by" and walk around.

Winchester M-17. 300 Win Mag. My largest caliber pd rifle. 1.5 Krieger. Slow twist to shoot light bullets. This was built before Franklin came up with the idea. Laminated walnut. Really fun to shoot.

Both Remington 700. Top is 6 BR. Bottom is 6-06. Laminated walnut stocks.

Both of these are my late fathers. Still can't call them mine. The top is a Belgium FN dated 1943. 30-06. Don't know who did the stock but they did an excellent job. He bought it in the early 60's. Wish I knew more about who built it.

Lower is an early 10-22 RSI. Serial number dates it to '67. He ordered it from the local hardware store and this is what was shipped. The clerk asked if he wanted it because it had a different stock than what he ordered. Dad realized it kind of matched his 30-06 so he took it. I know it doesn't have 50 rounds through it.

Yes I made all but the last two. They are very comfortable to use. The finger grooves are fit to my hand, and I have moved the trigger and guard back as far as I can so one does not have to reach with your trigger finger. I don't really care for most thumbhole stocks either.

Here's a couple I built. I think they look nice, but I think I can always do better. First one with the high figure stock is a 6br. The other is a 338 RUM. I still need another 15-20 coats of oil on the 6br, but decided to "put it on hold" while I pack up what's left of my shop while we move. Still need to polish the barrel on that one too. Last photo is the last stock I am trying to finish for a .338 WM before the move.

i have to say that i just love mannlicher stock'd rifles.. with that said, those that are chambered in 7X57 are special!

My dad is. He’s got a bunch of heavy hitters; ruger super Blackhawk .44 Mag, ruger single six series in .357 mag, and a TC contender with three barrels in .223 Remington, 7mm TCU, and .300 Blackout. He’s got a pretty cool collection.

Those things have some of the slickest bolts around. Years ago, my landlord had a collection of them. It was early on in my rifle shooting career but even then it was pretty simple to see, and feel, the craftsmanship.

Maybe I'm just getting older, but I love a nice piece of walnut and a deep dark blue.
Just bought an enfield custom in 338-06AI, that looks great in the pictures, can't wait to see it in person.
