6XC Guys

The 110's do NOT need a 7.5 or even 7tw to stabalize. I've shot them into -2400 DA out of an 8tw with zero stability issues.

The problem with the 110's is the random fliers being found. Especially in the newer lot of bullets. The originals that came out were amazing. Majority of shooters are finding horizontal plane fliers consistently. Sorry, I know this wasn't about the OP

I shoot them in my 7.5 twist and they're great. I finished third in my last local PRS style match with them but I had horizontal flyers until I started jumping them .075 to .080!

Anyone need a 240NMC Hornady sizing die? I've had one in the drawer for 15 years, unused. I'll send it to you, just pay it forward.

Meh. If your getting a new chamber anyway, why not get a 6Creedmoor?

Easy to make from 6.5 Creedmoor and there’s Hornady factory brass. Creed has a much bigger following so there’s significantly better support. Any advantages the XC has ( and there are few) are overshadowed by the limited availability of brass.

This is why I can't do a Creedmoor! Too many guys around here shoot CM's simply for the name. They have no idea what they are doing, they just know that Creemoor is God's gift directly to us shooters. I do appreciate everyone's input on this.

I ended up going with a 6BRA. Giving up about 75 to 175 FPS to some of the other 6's I considered and were suggested. Also shooting 8 to 12 grains less powder, gaining barrel life, less recoil, lapua brass, easy fire forming, and getting the accuracy of the BR case. I honestly think the tenth mil (maybe 2/10) of wind or so I will give up will be made up in accuracy and the ability to spot shots. Plus it sounds like a fun cartridge.

Reamer should be here in early January and my 7.5 twist Brux has arrived. Can't wait.

I currently have 2 they shoot great and were not difficult to load. My experience with Norma brass was not great. Making my own with Lapua 308 SRP. I chose this route so my bad. I have now ordered a reamer for the 6SLR. Worth researching

I built a 6SuperLR ( believe it's the same). I shot DTAC 115s w/H4831sc and H1000. It was the most consistently accurate rifle I ever owned. Schneider 5P barrel. It was stolen. I'm building anothern.

There's stuff out there now that make the barrel life issue moot. Coat the bullets and treat the powder (unless the IMR powders fill your need.
