I have the Teslong also. I hate it. It's relatively cheap and provides excellent images of why I'm a deficient barrel cleaner.

Seriously though can't beat it for the price.

Roaneman.

Couple of things to remember:

A. you are looking at a digital image on the Teslong, not all digital images are equal

B. the hawkeye bore scope is a TRUE optical image

I will Never get rid of my Hawkeye bore scope, and I do have the Teslong with 90* view....stuff just does not look the same. A blob in the Teslong may indicate pitting in the barrel or a void in the steel from the foundry, when the Hawkeye will show it to be a glob of carbon....plain as day!

I can use the Hawkeye at the lathe inspecting in between cuts or when I am done, and work at the rifle range is a no brainer.

There is a place for both, and my images in the Teslong look nothing like the images above.

For those that are not techno-geeks on the computer with imaging soft ware, don't expect images like you see above, they are a bait and switch gimmick like no other I have ever seen!

I think that Expiper left out a lot of "How To" on the image he projected, and it is not as simple as putting on your socks in the morning!

I defer to the Hawkeye for an idiot proof, fun ride in the Hay!

Can you please tell me the caliber limit of this borescope. I see there is a 8mm, and a 5.5mm. Thanks.

I recently purchased the solid rod/android version super clear images once you focus the mirror. Nice to know if the cleaning is effective. "Worst bore so far" belongs to my neighbors Abolt, waiting for his new scope to come in and then load work for his first elk hunt. Will see how it shoots and how hard development will be.

.20 caliber (realistically .223 because the mirror won't fit in .20 caliber) to .50 caliber depending on the mirror end used. Get the accessory mirror assortment to cover most calibers.
I have two of the original flexible versions (one with upgraded fiber cable) a solid rifle version and the 10-inch pistol version with the wifi module. They all work great.

After reading the OP's question I searched this forum using "teslong" and got 7 pages back??? My guess is that the OP did not, from his question. There is nothing wrong with asking a question about a subject that may have been discussed many times, if you have a different or unique need. But do your research first.

I’ve never had the opportunity to look through a Hawkeye, but clarity comparable to those above are no issue for me with a Teslong.

I got the flexible Teslong 1st & had trouble reliably getting clear focused images. I know there is adjustment but the flexibility allowed the focus to change with the slightest movement & was hard to control. The rigid Teslong works much better for me.

The biggest complaint is the dimmer doesn't dim enough to get rid of the dazzle. It just about gets to a good place & goes dark. Both units did this. See last picture for an example of this.

Try the mirror with the red band on it. I believe it is 30 degrees if I remember right. It really helps distribute the light and helps avoid both the dark spots and the glare.
