Fixing H-S stock paint chip ?

I have an H-S Precision stock that is in excellent condition, other than a small chip on the lower front edge of the pistol grip. It is only 1/4 inch wide and less than a 1/4 inch long. How is the best way to repair something like this?

Thanks

Mix up a little bit of JB Weld then sand it lightly to blend it in. Paint to match. Even if it's a molded in color a chip that's only 1/4 inch you'll never notice the repair.

A little Acraglas gel dyed the right shade will also work, I've patched up a lot of chips in the Remington factory XP -100 stocks that way, and it's really hard to notice unless your really hunting for it......

Preacher, Nothing like dredging up a 10 year old post. What do you use to color the Acraglas?

Send it to HS Precision. They have a lifetime guarantee and usually fix that stuff at little or no cost.
