115 DTAC Availability

I am currently doing load development for a new 6CM and would like to try the 115 DTAC. I went to order them off David Tubb's website at $30 for 100 but the lowest shipping option was $21. Are these bullets sold by anyone else that might have a more reasonable shipping option? Thanks in advance.

Creedmoor sold the older DTAC. I would try them. Another place which I THINK is called Bison Tactical sells them also. There may be others and also may be on backorder.

I just checked Bison Tactical...they only sell them in 500 count boxes and charge $35 shipping on those. Oddly enough, Tubb's site ships 500 for the same price as 100. If I had already tested them I would go with the big box. Not sure why some of these companies want to scalp us on shipping charges.

The only answer I have for that is because they can. I'm glad not all of them do. I would ask on here and other sites if you belong to any if anyone would be willing to sell you some.

I think that's exactly what I'll do and if I can't find anyone to sell me some, I'll buy 500 of them. I figure the will either work or I shouldn't have a problem selling the rest of them off if they don't work. I appreciate the help.

I hear you. I'm sitting here with at about 4000 pointed DTAC's and a new 6mm Competition Match barrel. I may try the new ones, but will have to throat it a little to make it worth it, from what I'm told.

Same here with a 6 Creed, 0.145" fb and the DTAC's pressure ring is right at the neck/shoulder junction at 0.012" off touch...and they shoot like a shot gun in my rig. I have not tested deeper into the case to get the junctions away from each other as I figure I will try them again when the throat moves out a bit.

What twist is your barrel?

It's a 1:8 JP 22" that I put in my LRP-07. I did get my hands on some DTACs in a round about way. I ordered a box of loaded ammo from Copper Creek. I already shot 8 of them and it's sub moa at 2875 so I don't think there will be any stabilization issues. I'm probably going to just bite the bullet and order 500 from DT's, no pun intended, but I will wait until I test the other varieties of bullets that are on the way before I do that.

The people at Bison Tactical are top shelf.

Never had a bit of a problem with Fred and company.
