This is not something that you are just going to look for and find today. It may take a while. Kind of like original large pivot pin Colt flat top uppers. I needed one to change an older Colt from an A2 to a flat top. Took me yrs to nic one at a reasonable price.

Ive been looking for years! some Armorlite told me theres a guy out there whho welds them together. The said the gov cut most of them in half. anyone ever hear that? as for finding one cheap, im past that... Been past that since i started to be a collector. people pay for what they want and if they want it bad enough skies the limit.... But thank you so much for your post XTR

Weren't all the original AR-10 class 3 items?
I believe you are right on this.

Ricky1,
There were some aftermarket receivers made for the AR-10 parts kits that were available. That was back
in the 70's and early 80's. Good luck finding what you need. They are a nice collector item.

The problem with a re-weld it will still be classified as a Machine gun. So be prepared to spend Thousands for that lower if you find one. I know a few companies made older early style AR-15 lowers but I have not seen any in .308
