New ranch my son & I hit last night. Large coyote is 39lbs, other a light weight. Both males.
Perfect fur like the ones from Monday. Hides in freezer.
Large one came in with its partner, but she balked and he didn't & lost at 85 yards with my AR15 in .223, 55g vmax. Thwaap & dropped, that was a 6 minute set.
Little one was at 115 yards via my son with a AR15 in 6x45 I built for a pal that could not make it. This was a 9 minute set, had one come in behind us at 2 minutes, but busted us as its being downwind and circling. To far out for a night shot and with it behing near cattle he was coming out of, not a 100% ideal.
** I forgot to add that rancher is pretty Happy, we will be back of course.
