More big ol coyotes

Went out for a little bit last night and ended up with 3 total, 1 mangy female we left, 1 male at 40lbs and my biggest male ever at 52lbs. Got that one skinned & in the freezer to prep for tanning as of this morning.
He was taken at 225 yards just dinking around while my pal & I were out in the tall grass for 30 min looking for the other one making all sorts of noise, yelling at each other where it may be and he walks right in among us.
I could not believe how it was not worried at all walking parralell to us as we were headed back to our guns at the fence line trying to keep it just enough out of out scent cone.
I made it to my rig flicked on the scope and thwaap, down like a ton of bricks.
I found it and yelled at my pal "Its a Wolf" so he walks out to me and sayd no it aint...hahaha
Its almost as big as one though I say.
My pal turned in 36 total. Me only 10 him the rest (if my count is right) to the fur buyer this week

Jim,
Good job--as usual---Thanks for sharing the pictures as well as the story. I killed Coyotes in 3 of the Canadian Prov. and never killed one that big. Congratulations.

Man I loved hunting those Wyoming yotes. Have had them jump right up into my lap using a Circe jackrabbit call. When the magpies and raven are near, so are the coyotes. That was some good prices those brought. Thanks for sharing, that sure brought back some good memories for an old Kemmerer resident .

edit for grammer popo

What monsters!! Way to go!! What is your load, rifle, & scope? Thx.
Mossberg MMR Ar15, .223, handloads of a 55g vmax in front of BLC2, threaded for my suppressor, D740 3rd gen NV scope, IR illuminator for dark nights. I use a XD19a & flir ps32 for scanning.

Man that one is HUGE!!! I have seen and shot some big dogs the last 30+yrs but nothing close to that! Around 40# for a couple and that isn't common in these parts so 50# of yote is unreal. Nice work.

You sure are a motivator. Had fun successfully de-boning and salting a coyote tail I took in Georgia last week. Just for a moment after the kill, I thought some of your skill rubbed off. Picked the thing up to carry it to the quad and decided it's more work than worth.

You are 'da man.
