Gun safe recommendations

It's finally time for me to upgrade to a bigger gun safe. Prefer around the 40 gun range. Will be primarily filled with benchrest style rifles and a few "tactical" style rifles. Any recommendations where to look in the central Ohio area or online. I also considered waiting until the Black Friday sales or cyber Monday seeing how that's Less than a month or so away. Any advice or recommendations are appreciated. Budget would probably be $800-1300 or so

I bought the biggest Liberty they made 20 plus years a go all 1350lbs of it, set me back $3000........You can throw any manufactures " it holds 30 guns" out the window when they are scoped. It does have a better finish than most automobiles though and yes, I do wax it!!

Look at Sturdy Safes,,, just do a search and they will show up. Good stuff.
Bought a Sturdy safe room door specd to my dimensions for a safe room/gunroom. Couldn't be happier
with their product and service. Sold both my stand alone safes!
About $3500 delivered! AR500. I did get 4 of my young buddies to help
me move it to the opening and set it. check out their web site and videos

To get a gun safe big enough for 40 guns with scopes it would need to be 32' long and 56" tall . That is the wall area needed
I have two mid size and I get 16 long guns with scopes. Larry

Yeah, if it says it will hold 40 guns, or however many, you can pretty much cut that buy a third when you start talking about bench rest guns with big fat stocks and scopes bigger than most third world telescopes. They rate them with scopeless Winchester 94/22's when they assign how many guns it will hold. If you really seriously intend to safe that many bench rest rifles you might want to start looking at a 60 gun or maybe two 30 gun safes.
All that said, I do have one suggestion that I learned the hard way....DO NOT fall for the "electronic key pad" thing. Mine didn't last and neither did all my buddies. We all got mechanical combo locks and the best is Sargent and Greenleaf. Suggest you look at American Security safes. Good fire ratings and fantastic people to deal with.

Tractor Supply CO will be your best bet for that kind of money. Cannon is a good brand.
Sturdy Safe, for the size you want (or even close) is way out of that ball park.
I have acquired, over several years, three safes of three brands. Oddly enough, the Liberty is the only one I've had issues with. I ordered the S&G digital lock and they are POS. On my third one now and expect it will crap out sooner than later.

I bought a Liberty fat boy jr. that was a good deal. I think it's a very good gun safe...
I think it just might qualify for your requirements...check them out.:)

Build a room and put a vault door on it. Harden the walls with 12 or 14 ga sheets of steel, 4x8 sheet runs about $75. Concrete block in basement works nice. Then fill it up!

The vault is the best option. Moving can be horrible with large safes. I just use several smaller ones. I look for the ones where the doors can come off.

If you will need to move just pop the door off and even a heavy safe is not so bad.

Just be sure to bolt it to the ground.

Speaking of vaults, I built a house for an older couple which had an 8'x10' front porch with a poured foundation with a some what over sized door opening in the basement. At first I thought it was going to be a storm shelter, but after talking to him he said he was getting a safe door from Liberty. Concrete walls, floor and deck, sounds pretty "safe" to me.
