Just heard that a score record was broke with a 6brai in nbrsa 600 as well. So 8 world records this year in 3 sanctioning bodies ibs, nbrsa, and williamsport. Naw its just a fad, dont try one

So here's the question that always comes to my mind. How many of those records would have still been broken had the shooter been using a dasher, or variant of?

When is the last time you remember 8 records falling in 3 different sanctioning bodies? One of those record barrels was a dasher, it got set back to a bra and shot a record. The owner said it shot a solid inch smaller at 1k using the same bullets it shot as a dasher.

I have to admit I don't know if 8 new records is significant. I assume Alex WOULD be one to know and it appears that he believes it is, so for the sake of argument, let's go with that.
It would seem likely that those record holders with both rounds have very successfully transfered their skills from the Dasher to the BRA, which given their similarities (between rounds) is expected.
The fact there are 2 new record holders (combining for a total of 4 records) using the BRA, along with 8 overall new records for all (previous Dasher record holders and new) shooters, then it appears the round itself is a factor.

people can be very funny on there justification for staying with a cartridge or taking a risk on another. The masses want someone else to financially verify if a cartridge is viable or not before they will make a change for themselves leaving most of the risk omitted from there own testing, they don't even want to verify there own findings on paper, they would rather someone else spend the time and finance and then just give the info up. I find it interesting the mind set that is always defending a cartridge and it's worth. Let the cartridge speak for itself and those willing to go out on a limb to improve themselves soak up the personal improvement or benefit others will either follow or not . I personally feel the 6 BRA will improve my own personal bests based off what I have seen in short order, "time will tell" But I think a large portion of people surfing this sight have been given a mass of "free knowledge" from highly qualified shooters in the past 2 years or so and are now are finding they can compete with out the short comings of there own testing and time in. the firing line has improved as a whole in most venues as a whole. It's cool to see old records fall and new ones set but the redundant conversation on what is the best or not gets long in the tooth. happy shooting friends.

I know a UBR score shooter that is having a couple bbls set up with the BRA to shoot some custom 80 gr flat base bullets,,IDK if he has started shooting it yet in matches or where he is in testing but he said he was gonna give it a try,,

You are right on both accounts.
WTF? The shooters with more ability and more knowledge asked this question (which is better, shooter X fare as well with which cartridge?) to themselves before they switched from Dasher to BRA. So at this point you are questioning people THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! How stupid is that?
