You wouldn't be near Maiden NC would you? Similar incident there a few years back.

Nope, not Maiden, on the east side of Lake Norman from there, but i work with a guy from Maiden, and he hit an African porcupine on Buffalo Shoals road a few weeks back. Probably escaped from the place you're thinking about.

He had a Big bull elk escape right during deer season. It was a miracle that thing made it before it wandered back home. I don't know if that dudes still in business or not since NC got so strict with cervid captivity.

Three antlered deer taken a few years ago.....bottom photo is him as a two year old on my land...I never saw him but on camera. He hung around for the whole year. Top photo is the same deer a few years later killed by poachers 8 miles from my place.

My guess would be a grey fox or young coyote. Looks Kinda long legged for a fisher.

There were 9 bucks nose to tail, only fit 5 in pic frame though.

Yes sir, if you zoom in on the thing {I realize you cant with the photo on here} it really has a strange looking head...I have another photo of whatever it is and there is a big buck eating out of the feeder, in that picture it almost looks like a giant rat. Whatever the thing is deer aren't afraid or even worried about it.

He's horned up pretty good...you could probably get down out of your stand and walk over to him and stab him in the ribs with an arrow by hand!!!! He boar hogs that same doe three times!!!! Makes me think of Mexico.

Here it looks like the coyotes are staking out the bait I left.
1st pic you can see the coyote in the back ground.
2nd pic it's closer.
3rd he's moving fast.
