Forum gangsters

I also sometimes feel the need to tell the gangstas to put up or shut up. To this date none of them have put up... it makes me laugh for someone to tell us all how big and bad they are but they hide behind a username, and never show up at the range. I guess theres a few in every crowd. I may be guilty of the "calling out" though.. if they feel the need to bash everyone i feel the need to invite them to a match and witness their awesomeness.

This forum is a lot better than many others...the issue being discussed in this thread has to do with the average intelligence level of the group here. There are some pretty smart folks on here and there are a few pretty stupid ones...but I believe the majority are above average. About the best way I deal with it is to be thankful and always tell them so when you are lucky enough to get some good advice or info and with the other kind just smile and quietly think to yourself "okay, please stay just like you are...good and stupid"!!!!!
But, I am like many people....I don't always practice the second one, sometimes when I get a real professional, thoroughbred jackass {some of them here even have papers!!!} I have to put them in their place. It does no good, but they know where I stand with them.

It's taken me wayyy too long to learn that my opinion isn't required in every conversation. And it's not my job in life to straighten out everybody who needs it.

It's amazing how much more a fella will actually HEAR, if you're not preoccupied with what you think you've gotta SAY. jd
Right on brother. I must just be like that spike horn that keeps coming to the bait pile. Just couldn't help myself. Call it what you want, human nature, lack of discipline etc. I'm trying tho. You are right on target with your mentality and more accurate than you know.

Amen, brother. Your comment centers the X-ring!

After some communication, from several sources to the powers that be, and some checking on their part, I do not believe that those of you, who noticed the disturbance in the force ;-) will be bothered any more by that individual.

This guy uses different screen names and pops up on various shooting forums from time to time. His writing style is a dead give away who he is and his presence usually doesn't last very long.

Every now and then, even a blind pig finds an acorn. I sure wish my wife thought that I was as brilliant as Y'all do. jd

What I would like to see is when you add a person to your ignore list your name should be added to their ignore list. Doing this would be easy. Then when so and so looked at the threads if he was blocked by 80 members they would get the point.

Having a gangster button does not give a full community vote. Lets say 8 guys do not like a member and give him the gangster button every post. What about those who like what that person has to say? If anything like that basically a thumbs up or down.

Was just a comment meant to be humorous not serious. Just seemed to fit the moment. Wouldn't be fitting although entertaining the thought was there.

I have learned more here from the the most accurate shooters in the world and that is why I'm here!
There are those that have given me great ideas that have helped improve my shooting and has made
it way fun. I don't have anybody on an ignore list but sure came close recently...;):D. I find myself
looking at great ideas here every day...guess I'm hooked on accuracy...When I can... I pay it forward.
It's rewarding to talk with others of the same mentality when it comes to shooting!

Like others, I can't begin to remember all the things I have learned on this forum. I belong to several shooting forums but, always find myself migrating here several times a day. Always looking for that little nugget of info...Or a good deal. LOL. It's funny how fast a disrupter is noticed. Now...MY LASTEST BUILD IS 3 WEEKS OVERDUE HELP!!!

Since we're complaining, the contribute shaming is no different. I didn't for the last couple years because the clique that has done that. To the point I even asked Forum Boss if I could opt out of the banner under my name.
