I have an original Rock Chucker and I don't think the catcher that fits behind would work, as the ram only has a slot in the front. The OEM catcher does miss about 20% of the primers. I normally just put a bucket under the press when depriming, particularly if I'm using the Case Kicker, which prevents the use of the primer cup.

DRNewcomb, I looked on his site and he makes one for an original Rock Chucker also. You don't have to turn the ram around either. I ordered one and will let you know how it works. Between picking primers off the floor and wife griping about them being there (duly so) it's worth a shot.
The issue I had with my IV, spent primers on occasion would exit out of the priming arm slot. Since I only use a hand or bench priming tool I blocked it off with a piece of key stock, the top rear edge ground on an angle to direct the primers rearward and out the back of the ram where they're supposed to go. Now all the primers drop into the catcher, not on the floor.

The catcher for the original RC is actually just an improvement to the original design. As such, it still won't work with the RCBS case kicker. I actually find the bucket under the press works pretty well.

Still working without a hitch except for the decapping pins. I did not notice this at the get go since I had just taken apart and cleaned an RCBS decapping die and reset it anyway.
As stated above, you DO have to reset all of your dies with decapping pins. I don't know why, but it is needed.

Thanks, but I doubt it would be worth your while. I've never run into anyone else who has a 68. It's a great press, but they never really caught on. My press is in storage at the moment from moving, but if you want to try it, I'll let you know when I get a chance to dig it out.
I have three Rock Chuckers, one is set up for a Piggy Back 11; that is the one that has the tube and bottle catcher. For everything else I use 3M Electrical tape, when color coordinating I use green electrical tape or I go back to the original black tape, with black or green tape there is no way a primer can get away. Primers when punched from the case are moving very slowly. basically they just fall out.
In the winter I allow a few to get away, primers imbedded in my rubber sole shoes give me traction like knobbiest on ice and snow.

Fotheringill, yes, even one of them. There is no way for a primer to get past the tray.

The problem solved by the add on is not primers getting past the tray but going into the tray slot in the first place after depriming occurs.
fguffey was talking about the older Rock Chucker / Rock Chucker II presses - they have an even less sophisticated system than the RC IV/Supreme and the primers are ejected out in the front, then sometimes land on the press frame, sometimes "jump" over the edge of the factory primer catcher and sometimes actually land in the catcher as they should. Closing parts of the slot in the front eliminates the ones jumping the edge as they are being funneled down to the press frame. Here's a picture of the catcher for the older RC presses:
Got mine today, (Thank You for the fast delivery) set it up but don't care for the idea of having to remove the "slot filler" so I can change shell holders. But than again, I'am old and pretty set in my ways.
Now tell me, how am I suppose to function without stepping on spent primers on the floor?? Got no snow or ice out here but I like the idea of better traction with a few primers stuck to the bottom of my shoes.
