Best Place to buy once-fired processed 223 brass

Webster....Good point! I guess I would rather buy some once fired, already processed brass and save some time during the reloading process. Problem with the loose brass at the range is you do not know how many times it has been reloaded. I also like to stay with a consistent head stamp, brand (e.g. L.C.)

How much Lake City brass all processed do you want??? What all do you want done to it and how much are you expecting to pay??? I have mucho brasso and will process it exactly how you want it, by I don't have time to do all this and give it away too.
I can decap and SST clean it {already done}, anneal it, resize to dead on zero headspace {or whatever size you want} trim and de-burr it, swage the primer crimp {also already done} de-burr the flash hole and outside neck turn it if you need that too. Tell me what you need....particular year???

New unfired Lake City is a little hard to find sometimes and never what i'd call "inexpensive"...
Now, like Lapua, is it worth the extra??? Not to me, but then I have thousands of cases and they cost me nothing.

I've bought thousands of once fired LC brass from Everglades Ammo. Good price, great shipping. Ships free. Red.

Besides being a two year old thread......

Sir, you do understand that "Wolf" brand ammo and components is Russian junk, right???? In regards to "used v. new"....in this case at least, I'd take used L.C. over Russian Wolf brand even if the Russian schitt was fully loaded ammo!!!! I know this add says "brass", but the last batch of Wolf I had the cases were varnished steel and the bullets were steel jacketed and painted to look like copper.

Boxer primed, brass cases, made in Taiwan. Pretty decent. Wolf has also sold ammo made in Germany, among other places.

Second on Sleeping Giant, also if you use ss tumbling, try their smaller size ss media. Does not stick inside cases like others do.

That primed new Wolf brass from the ammunition store is good to go. I shot some great scores with it at Camp Perry this year.

How much you looking for? I've got bucket loads of FC and mixed commercial brass (fully prepped including annealed and de-crimped) that I've been collecting over the past year. Lord knows I won't get through it all. Let me know how much your looking for and I'll PM you a price.

I'd never say that about their primers - made in the same plant as Tula (Murom Plant) and shoot spectacularly well - at least the last 20,000 did.

Yes sir, I have heard about their primers supposedly being fantastic, but I have never heard any reason why. All I ever really saw was that they were about the only primers that were available when Obammy was first elected. Not saying they aint still great. I have a box of small rifle I never tried.
If the primers are all that then the rest for absolute certain is not. Steel cases that they varnish brown to give the appearance of dull brass...steel jacketed bullets spray painted copper to look like gilding metal....might be okay in a properly rifled and hard chromed bore. I don't need any of it.

Not wanting to fuel a brass crisis - but my girl friend - retired Army Major - gets a magazine from the government. Latest edition says the Army and Marines are moving towards the plastic-cased ammo in a big way. So I'm thinking if you like mil-spec brass, might not be a bad idea to get some while it is still being used by the military. Things have a way of drying up quick - even when it is still being used by the military. Seems Lake city could go the way of the dodo bird in my lifetime. I hope not - I love that stuff!

As much as I love their primers, I'd never shoot those Wolff bullets out of my guns. I don't even like the idea of the steel cases - even though Hornady imported a bunch of steel-cased ammo and sold them. I guess there are lots of budget-conscience shooters who don't really care - and who don't reload. I had bought a 6.5 Grendel AR upper about 7 years ago and the guy threw in five boxes of the Wolff "Gold" ammo. It was loaded in brass cases and had half-way decent bullets. It shot about 1 MOA in the AR. I reloaded the cases another five times as that was back in the last brass crisis and there was not 6.5 Grendel brass to be had. So I'd say there is a huge difference in some of their products, for sure. I recall dissecting a round and found that they were "glued" into the necks with a black "tar-like" sealing substance. I suspect that they didn't have to apply crimp - it may have aided the accuracy. Interesting stuff.
