Mine appears very black to me mate.Just curious as to what color the dot and hash lines are on your GE ecr reticle. It appears a darker gray and not black in mine. I prefer dark black as with my Zeiss RZ reticles. Wondering if mine is defective or that's the standard shade.
Thanks guys. Was at the range today and mine now looks black. Don't know if my eyes were causing it to look gray or I had it slightly out of focus or combination of both. At any rate I'm good.
Are you happy with the image quality? Is the small exit pupil an issue?
I'm somewhat disappointed in the sharpness of my SIII10-50x60.
I've only shot it at 2 matches so far and for load development. I can't quite give a definitive answer on the image quality yet. Am at the Missouri State FClass Championship this weekend. I should have a better idea after this match as I hope to compare it to other scopes. Controls are good though.
Initial report. Looked through a NF Comp. It looks a little clearer probably due to different coating. Whiter for lack of a better description. The GE has a slightly warm tint to it.
Eye box and exit pupil: For my eyes I could use the NF on 55x. I am at the limit at 50 on the GE and shoot it at 40x.
A buddy of mine here at bucksnort that shoots a NF looked through my GE. He said he could see the target better with the GE but couldn't see that reticle as well as on the NF. I agree the GE reticle could be a little bolder.
Your eyes will see different than mine.
