Sightron SIII Turret Problem

I'm hoping this is a problem I have created and is not reflective of my new SIII 8 - 32 x 56.
I spent the morning at the range working with on load development and decided to zero the turrets on my Sightron SIII. It is brand new and was using it for the first time.
I loosened the windage turret cap, turned it to zero and retightened the cap.
The problem is that I now have zero adjustment capability on my windage side and there is zero click when I try to adjust the scope.
Did I make a mistake or is this something that requires a return to Sightron?
Any thoughts or comments would be great.

Thank you for your comment. I sent them an email 3 days ago and still have not received a response. I will, however, try calling them directly.

I owe Sightron a HUGE apology. After your comment to call them, I went back into my email in basket and checked to be certain I had not received a reply. Sightron had indeed sent back a reply that was caught in my Spam filter. Ian replied within hours of my question.
One certainly couldnt ask for a quicker response than that.

what's wrong with asking a forum a question!

I think the question was more about "did I give Sightron an opportunity to fix the problem first" than "why did I come to the forum seeking advice first".
This was a very fair question as I didn't indicate in my initial post that I had looked to the company first. That said, Sightron had responded to me very quickly and I simply wasn't aware of the response.
I would guess this is a relatively simple matter and we will get it resolved quickly.
My main reason for asking the question on the forum is that I have never had this type of issue with any scope before and was wondering if others had.

you mean the knob is turning and there is no click,,or the knob wont turn at all ??

you loosten the the screw in the center with an allen wrench the same size as most Leupold or Burris rings uses,,turn the knob to zero and hold the knob from turning and snug the screw back up without turning the knob or making the scope click ,,it doesnt have to be super tight but if you dont get it tight enough the knob will turn but it wont make the scope click ,,

I would start over and try it again and see if it wont work,,,first time I set the knobs on mine I thought I had to take the screw all the way out when in fact all you have to do is loosen it very slightly and turn it to set,,
