CH4-D dies =good bad

Excellent company & products. High quality. Only drawback is they do not have an on-line ordering system. I just call and they have my account on file, so is simple enough.

I have several sets of their dies and the same calibers in other brands.
The CH dies are very close to the same exact dimensions internally as RCBS, Forster, Redding and and other top brands.
If anything the CH dies maybe be few thousandths smaller in diameter when measuring the FL die diameters.
Most users will not notice any difference in use between them and other production dies.

I have seven or eight die sets from them. If you want anything out of the mainstream, they are the most likely to have it, or can produce it in short order.

I have C&H dies that go back to the time they were in El Monte, California. The instructions on the boxes say the dies should be used with a shell holder with a height of .125", reloaders claim the die manufacturer must match the shell holder manufacturer etc. etc.
I used a C&H die set to size cases for a shooter with a Japanese rifle, I formed the cases first and then size. I formed minimum length cases, go-gage length cases, no go-gage length cases and field reject length cases. I formed 80 cases in all. The minimum length sized cases chambered and fired, the go-gage length cases chambered with light resistance, he had to size the other cases. The dies were made in the '60s.

According to none other than your own words, cases do not have head space.
Only the rifle chamber has head space.
Why are you referring to cases like they are gages?
They are not gages.
