What does this require? Will it still pull a dasher once it's re-worked? ThanksDepending on un-knowns
Your bolt nose can be re-worked.
As long as you don't shoot so hot that extraction becomes difficult you should be okay. You can spring the extractor inward a little (just a little) and that will help some.Is there any way to determine if my .473 rem bolt will pull a ppc case? I have heard some will some won't , I snapped a ppc case in and it seems to hold well. Thanks for looking.
A ppc case has a head diameter of .441, Dasher is .473. You're also going to have an issue with the small primer, if you haven't had your bolt bushed for the Dasher. You're better off buying a new bolt for the PPC with a small firing pin hole and small firing pin, .062". While you're at it order a .700" bolt diameter to tighten up the slop. you're a one of a kind! If you have never blanked a primer(pierced a primer) you're in the fortunate few. When it happens it could ruin your bolt with a "fairy ring", well not completely ruined but it will be very hard to sell the rifle or the bolt afterward, besides there will be that unsightly reminder of "why didn't I have the bolt bushed"? For some of us it will create an occurring nightmare,I have a couple of 700 actions, with large firing pins, that I have been shooting for a few years in 6br, 30 br and 6.5x47L. All of these cartridges have small primer cases. Can you tell me what kind of problems I will encounter down the road?

!! And if you're even less fortutius
, like me it will ruin your custom trigger, and make you cry a lot.
If it holds it in the bolt you should be fine. If not I'll cut the slot a little deeper. It can be set up to pull both. I am assuming thats the 700 you got from me?Is there any way to determine if my .473 rem bolt will pull a ppc case?
