Why would a 22br be better than shooting light bullets in a 6BR?

I honestly don't know the answer to this question. I thought about a 22BR for varmints and then realized I could shoot light weight Noslers or Bergers and do the same job.

22 cal 55 grain VMax and 6mm 58 grain VMax have very similar G1 BC. The BR case can push the 6mm faster than the 22 bullet.

Both are very good. In my personal experience the 6BR is a little easier to tune to one hole accuracy. But, their really is no wrong choice between the two.:D:D

this was my understanding also. I don't think there is any real advantage ballistically. I am more interested to find out if the 6mm comes apart in the same way as the 22.

The ballistic coefficient on a smaller cal bullet is way better at equal weights. Wind and drops are greatly improved

You should compare the BC of the Nosler 55g in 22 and 6mm calibers, the 6 has the better BC! I believe this is the only exception however.

Ill let you know this summer.
Ii am putting together a 1-12 twist 22 BR to go along with my 1-12 twist 6 Dasher that I put together last summer. WAY more red PD mist last year with the 65 Vmax 6mm than with the 6mm 105-108 grainers!!!! BIG FUN!!!:)
