Borden BRM or BRMXD action ?

Im thinking of getting one of these actons to build a LR benchrest or F-open rifle on. The only difference I see is the brmxd is larger dia. Want to chamber this in 7 saum. Can anyone advise me the better action for this and what other differences are? I want to use 1 1/4 barrels if I can instead of the bigger dia ones. I will call Borden next week but it would be great to get other guys views on this. Thanks Much

Matts right. The only difference is weight. There is no strength or stiffness advantage with bigger actions. We bolt them to wood, the action is never the weak link. The xd balances nice in an open build, but it will be hard to make weight in 17lb.
