Midway Customer Service

I took a leap of faith and ordered a AR 22 Nosler barrel from Midway shortly after the Shot Show. I didn't need it but sometimes you just want it. Long story short, my best educated guess is that it was stolen in a UPS hub. It scanned in & disappeared. After a couple days of waiting for it to move, I called Midway.
Spoke to David, a customer service guy who immediately filed a claim with UPS and got me another barrel heading my way. This was as painless as can be and how business is supposed to run. Many times the customer aspect is lost after a company grows as much as Midway has. I've seen it with most of the big name stores over the years. Kudos to Midway and the Potterfield family.
 
Good to hear. Midway has been my "go to" if my local guy doesn't have what I need. They are great about shipping and keeping you in the loop for status.
 
Midway Customer Service is stellar. I cannot count how many times I paid a little extra to buy something from Midway versus an unknown dealer, solely because Midway has never left me disappointed.
 
Good to see the kudos. I would expect great things from Midway. Great people.

However, I have shipped 10s of thousands of packages in my other businesses and it is not unusual for them to go lost for a few days and then show back up. If you end up receiving 2 barrels, make sure you show Midway the same great service they showed you. --Jerry
 
In the spirit of recognising great customer service I have to call out Sinclair international and Optics planet. I'm in Australia and buying off these guys is a great experience. Even with the currency differential these guys have amazing prices and exceptional service.
Recent changes to ITAR and one or two rather dubious executive orders from the previous administration, have made things more difficult but they go the effort of servicing international customers after doing the relevant risk assessments and still responding to all queries.
Just had to call these businesses out for going above and beyond in my dealings with them.
 
Midway is a first class awarded winning company. Larry Potterfield, Midway CEO has lead Midway to sucess that includes winning the Malcolm Baldrige Award for Quality.

Quality Glossary Definition: Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA)

An award established by the U.S. Congress in 1987 to raise awareness of quality management and recognize U.S. companies that have implemented successful quality management systems. Awards can be given annually in six categories: manufacturing, service, small business, education, healthcare and nonprofit. The award is named after the late Secretary of Commerce Malcolm Baldrige, a proponent of quality management. The U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology manages the award, and ASQ administers it.
 
Before we all tout them as the best thing since sliced bread -One would think a company as large as Midway would sponsor this website......sadly that is not the case.

They sure as hell beat Brownells hands down on shipping. I just started using Midway for that very reason, after a blow up with shinny nose Larry Potterfield about 10 yrs. ago I wish Midsouth had a little more selection.
 
Midway USA might have good customer service, but their prices are higher than others in most cases and they rape you with shipping costs even if they claim they're better than before. 80% of my business goes to Brownells because I'm an edge member. Brownells always has 10$ off $100 orders, 20$ off 200$ etc and that includes items on sale too. The other 20% goes to Brunos, Powder Valley, and sometimes Cabelas when I have coupons. My smith hates Larry Potthead and explained to me why in full detail which I'll keep disclosed on the forums because I don't want to hurt the Midway USA fan boys feelings. IMO Midway sucks and Potthead isn't a gunsmith if anyone thinks he is. Have a nice day.
