Any new 2017 builds?

Well, after a bout with the trolls, the scammers and a few episodes of urinary olympics, it's time to lighten up things a little and post your plans for competition, hunting, plinking and just plain fun guns for 2017. Pics if you have them done already. Specs would be nice too. :)

I'll start. Still working on a Muller barreled, Pierce action .22BR and plan on building a light gun 6.5x47 for some shooting at Williamsport.

For my FT-R build I'm waiting on a Bighorn TL3. I have the Criterion barrel waiting on it. 26" (1:8) Rem Match chamber for 80s. I picked up a NF Competition already. Just need to figure out what bottom I'm going to use with it.

Good call Dale,
I'm going to finish up my smokeless muzzleloader build once my stock arrives.

SS 700ML w/ Arrowhead bolt conversion
28" Straight Fluted .452 1/20 twist Brux
McMillan Game Warden(still a couple of months out)
Load: 70 grains H4198, Parker 270 Emax, Federal 209

I didn't feel like waiting, so I dropped it into a chassis from another rifle during our muzzleloader season. I shot this doe at 405 yards.

I don't have any other builds currently planned, but I did find another rifle I'm going to purchase. I handled one of the new Anschutz/Manners 18" threaded 22's at SHOT and "need" one. :D

Considering barreling an action for a 45 raptor. After retirement I'll start hunting in southern Ohio with a firearm where straight wall cartridges are now legal. Looked at the 450 bushmaster and a few others but settled on this raptor after looking at the cartridges performance. Would be easier to just buy an upper for my AR 15 and go bushmaster 450. Just as easy to get an upper for my AR 10 in the 45 raptor also. I just think toting a 22" bolt gun in the ohio woods and in a tree may be a bit easier. I'm searching for some sources for barrels, muzzle brakes and action bottom metal options now. Found some info from the designer who I spoke with and have some ideas. Any more would help.

I'm building a duplicate to my 284 F open rifle, but in 300wsm. As well as a 6 dasher barrel to go with my 284. Here's the 300 wsm specs:
Panda Fclass dual port
Masterclass Lowboy
32" Brux 1-10
Bix N Andy trigger
NF 15-55 comp
NF rings

Sweet! Gotta love those smokeless MLs. I shot a few deer with mine this year but no long range. Seemed like every time I took it instead of the slug gun, I had a 100 yards or less shot. I'm still using sabots. That 70 grain plus loads kills on one end and maims on the other, right? Or does the brake do a good job of knocking down the recoil?

If you are still looking for muzzle breaks, I got one from Ross on here, he has a post in gun classifieds under muzzle breaks.. I got one for a 450 bm. It works amazing....

Going to build another 6x6.8 off another Savage action using a BHW heavy sporter bbl at 22"L, threaded for suppressor.
Wont be nothing fancy or expensive, using the factory plastic stock, drop on a Nikon 3.5-14x40 SF mildot scope and go coyote/deer antelope/p-dog shooting.

F1-Chassis.jpg Here is a prototype F-Open Chassis that we are working with Gary Eliseo on (www.gotxring.com). It is the same as his current F1 chassis, but has a different barrel block. Instead of using a glue-in block (which is not reusable), this has a clamp-style block with 16 screws. We are going to give it a whirl at the BSWN next week. (Defiance Deviant Action, B&A trigger, March 5-40x56 FFP scope). Notice the entire action free floats behind the barrel block. The cheek piece is much narrower than a standard wood version: very comfortable and allows you to get right behind the scope easier.

I have a Remington 700-based 7mm Rem Mag in the works. This one's going to be a hunting rig.

I finished the action work and I have the reamer. The rest of the components are in a box, waiting on the barrel. Magnum sporter contour Criterion, 26", 1:9 twist, Harrell brake. I went with a Rifle Basix trigger, PTG bottom metal, .25" PTG recoil lug, Warne 1-piece base and vertical split rings and a Hogue full block stock. Nothing fancy, but minute-of-whitetail is a lot less demanding than that x-ring on an F Class target.

I'm still trying to decide on glass and I believe I'll lose my mind looking through all of the Cerakote colors.

I picked up Remington Custom Shop Rifle chambered in 7mm RUM that I'm planning to have trued up and rebarreled in 28 Nosler and chambered for 195 VLDs. Will probably start out shooting it with the current HS stock and upgrade to a Manners later. I've already talked to a couple of smiths but haven't decided who to use just yet.

I'm also tinkering with a couple of diy savage projects. Haven't really decided which direction those are headed. Thinking maybe a 6.5-284 and maybe a fast .22.

In the process of a 6xc, Bighorn T3 action, Manners T4A, Hawk Hill marksman contour, should be chambered tomorrow. Waiting on a NF F1 atacr scope, if it is too far out, Kahles can be found easy. Looking forward to an action that can handle aw mags.
I know it's not this groups cup of tea, but will work for my style shooting.

Bought a Stolle actioned BR rifle. It's going to get a 6 Dasher barrel fit. Project #2 will involve spending some quality load work time behind the butt of my Savage SS 338 LM. I have this fantasy about shooting in the Ko2M if my skills improve enough...

6BR on a Stiller P1000 action. All the components are at the smith's other than the stock from McMillan. Considering re-barreling my Kelbly Dasher to a .30BR

Bordon action w/jewel, 28" 8tw Krieger, .22 Dasher reamer just waiting to get it to the Smith. X-caliber 28" 10 tw .20 caliber(cryo-ed) on the way for the 39 grain BK's in my 5X45AI since my 8 1/2tw tube started destroying them. Looking forward to using some of my Semi's thia year for Chucks this year!

Having Alex Wheeler bed and paint one of his Deep Creek Tracker stocks for my 2 port Borden Jewell triggered BRL action wearing a March 36-55 EPZ. I have 3 Broughton barrels here ready to chamber in 6.5-06imp getting ready for Williamsport and other 1000yd BR venues in the Pa/Oh/WV area.......Winter Sucks.....;)
