Drop dead females

Is what they do when they meet me, must be my charisma...yea right.
2 from last night & both before 930pm, wind was very calm at maybe 1-3mph (was supposed to be 9+), temp was 11*, but felt like 25* due to no real wind. Snow depth from 8" to 2'+ so I knew coyotes would not just come running in if they were going to come in at all.
4 sets from 6pm to 930 pm, 2 taken, every set was 30+ min, these girls came in right about 33 min each time.
Both taken between wide drainages from deep gullys to the open flats above them where I was waiting.
.223, 55g vmax handload. Both right about 90 yards & coming in slowly & cautiously in the deep snow.

Good read.

I'm having a bit of trouble believing that 11* felt like 25* due to calm winds tho. ;)

I'm not sure where 5spd is from. I'm from ND and know exactly what he is saying. When you have been through a stretch where the highs do not get above 0*, the wind chills have been -50*, and it warms up to 11* and no wind, yes, it feels better than 25*!! Hahaha.

Those are some nice winter coats. Do you skin them out for sale? My wife gave away her fox fur coat but she'll never give up her coyote.

Another memorable night. Keep stacking them up and keep warm. You only get used to so much of that cold. Kind of like the Florida 90's. Might say it's not too hot but I lie.

Sure enjoy the reports and adventure.
