Spinning My Wheels with a Rem MLR 338 Lapua

I had a load for my Rem MLR 700 338 Lapua with 250 Nosler Accubonds and 300 Sierra Matchings. Ran out of the MK's, and bought 2 boxes of Berger 300 grain elite hunter. Tried OCW test with Retumbo & IMR7828 and nothing is showing up. Had them loaded for Magazine length, about a half of a mile from the lands. Nada. Went .01'' off the lands, still zero.
My go to load for the 260 AB's seemed to go to hell with a new one pound can of retumbo. I just put a new VX6 7-42x56mm scope on it. Ready to give up already. Any suggestions? Thx.

The 300 Elite Berger Hybrids were very finicky for me in my 338 RUM. I did find a load using H1000, but the bullets them selves I had a hard time working a load up for. I am trying to get away from the bergers and load up the new 285 Hornady ELD-M bullets. Also it was suggested to me to ditch H1000 and Retumbo all together and switch to RL 33. I have a few hundred more rounds left in my 8# can, but I may give the RL33 a shot.
 
In my 338 Lapua IMP the RE33 worked better then Retumbo, US869, and H1000. It was more velocity and less pressure. It also shot way better groups at 1000. It also worked better in a 338 RUM and a 338-378. We all shoot the Berger 300 but we shoot them .005 or more in the lands. All 3 guns shot under 5 inches at Williamsport 1000 yard range with 5 shot groups. Matt
 
I've had good experience with 300 SMKs, 84.0 gr IMR7828 and Fed GM215s in my Sako TRG 338 Lapua. In the 0.4 moa out to 300 yds., muzzle velocity @ 2,712 fps. On the advice of dkhunt14, I've got 8#s of RL33 , yet to test.
 
I'm shooting Berger 300 gr elite hunter with RL33 powder . I'm jumping either .010" or .020" , I think I'm .010 " off the lands . I also shot the Berger 300 gr OTM's with RL33 . these were the same jump .

A lot of good advice but I would try and get back what you had before you go trying different combinations. You say it shot well before you switched powder lot#'s ? and Scope? Did you switch powder and scope at the same time?

Once you figure out what it was for sure and get it shooting again I would definitely get a pound of R-33 and see if it likes it.
 
I am going to JB bore paste the barrel. I picked up a box of 300 matchkings and going back to another previously good load. I also got a can of RL33. I have a lot of work ahead of me! Thx for the advise!

Let me know how the RL 33 works out for you, I am interested in picking up a can to play with using 285 hornadys.
 
The only load data I found was on the Nosler site for 300 grain bullets and reloader 33. I loaded up 94,96, and 98 grains, .o1'' into the lands.
 
My test results with RL33 & Berger 300's, .010'' into the lands @ 200 yards: 94.0 was 1 5/16'' x 1 5/15'' for 4 shots. Did not count fouling 1st shot. 96.0 was 3 7/16''wide x 3 7/8'' high for 6 shots. 98.0 was 4 3/16'' wide x 1 5/15'' high for 6 shots. Very light wind. No pressure signs.
94.0 was 2325 to 2552fps. 96.0 was 2532 to 2574. 98.0 was 2609 to 2682.
