removing a thread

After a thread has run awhile and lets say is not needed anymore . Is there a way to remove it from the site . I ran a thread reminding new members that to donate to the site would benefit all of us . After a few weeks it looses its "punch" . How to remove it ? '

you can only remove a thread early in it's life. I forget what the exact length of time is, but it's like a day or two. After it's existed for a while, only Admins can remove it.
