I sent a message to PAC-Nor to see if they have the 6SLR available.
Oops, Mark. You said Pac-nor and I was thinking Pacific Tool.JGS has them, or at least makes them.
That's where I bought my 6SLR and 6XC reamers.

The reamer I got from PTG had a .274 neck. I would get a 275. I'll say I was disappointed in my 6SLR. It was slow and my load numbers were never very good. It lasted 1900 rounds which isn't anything special for a big 6mm. Especially since it ran at or below dasher speed. I've heard that even the new lots of Winchester brass has to be turned after forming. Not enough gains over a straight 243 for that effort.

Do you think it was the cartridge or was it the barrel maker? Do you mind sharing what length/contour you were running?
I have Bartlein small shank varmint and target blanks in stock, and large shank targets in transit
I also have a 6SLR reamer, and make pre-fits in about 30 days

I usually make large shank barrels from in stock 1.20 breech barrels, I don't have 1.125 straight cylinder barrels in stock
