It was chambered with the longest free bore reamer. But for some reason, my OAL to lands is .022" less than Mr Whitley says it should be.
My best seating depth at this point is .007" off the lands and that puts the bullet bearing surface very close to the neck/shoulder junction. And with PRVI brass, that is a consideration. Since I will be shooting varmints and competing informally with the cartridge, I don't want to seat into the lands.
I have a 6mm throating reamer and considered taking about .020" off the throat. But after reading about reamer chatter in 5R rifled barrels, I think I will just let the throat lengthen naturally.
