Question on turret labels

There is a company called Custom turret system in Utah that make custom turret labels. They have a great website but no phone number to talk with them if you have Question. I have email into them but no answer yet.
Anyway my question..... I want them to make me a MOA turret for a weaver classic extreme scope. 8-32x50. Scope turrets are 1/8 inch clicks per 100 yards. Scope only has 36 total MOA but I have added a 20 moa rail to gun. If I have them make me a MOA marked turret that turret I guess can be used for any caliber of gun and any weight of bullet at any given speed correct ? All I need to do is run a ballistic program for the shell / ammo I am using and match what the chart is giving me for moa come ups to use for that type of shell ? correct ? Really any MOA turret on a scope weather it is a label stick on turret or factory made turret is not really cal or bullet weight specific. It is just standard MOA which can be used for any gun , cal or weight if and speed of bullet ? Thanks. Martyd

Never heard of anyone who does that, if you had a Leupold they make them for their scopes, all you need is speed and altitude, you still have regular markings but also yardage, if you find someone for the weaver it would only be good for that caliber and speed.

I make my own turret labels with yardage markings for hunting, rather than using a lookup table. At longer distances the comeups are significantly affected by altitude and temperature, so one turret is not universally acceptable. Use a ballistics program to determine the appropriate comeups for your bullet, velocity, and enviromentals. Cut an adhesive backed label to fit the turret, mark the corresponding yardages at the proper moa, and cover it with clear tape. Getting mine prepared for a 6500ft elk hunt!

Good luck on the hunt!

Yes you are correct. A MOA turret is not specific for any caliber. It is just graduated per what ever Minute of Angle increments they use.

Made funky BDC labels for mine .With enough space on the turret i could actualy put more data in , but its enough ,printed on adhesive foil an covered with clear office tape. I have multiple labels as BDC is always only true for one load (1 bullet, one MV) and 1 set of enviromental conditions (like temperature and altitude) , in balistics its always question of garbage in garbage out in terms of input output

What foil tape did you use to print those?
