Form Factor???

IDK where this should go so I put it here,,what does the form factor of a bullet mean and how does it compare one bullet to another ?? I was just looking through Bergers specs and the FF is higher and lower on bullets with the same G1 and G7 BC,,probably nothing I need to worry about ,I would just like to know what it is,,

Just google: bullet form factor ................. You'll find several references including Berger's.

I had tried a bunch of bullets in my 6 BRDX and 6.5x47L and had decided for myself for a compromise of speed and BC that the best bullet for the 6 BRDX was the 105 VLDH orange box and for the 6.5x47L was the 130 VLD yellow box

those bullets seem to get the most out of those cases ,,heavier bullets in either seem to slow to make use of the extra BC of the heavier bullets and the lighter bullets couldnt go fast enough to overcome the 105 VLDH in the 6 or the 130 in the 6.5,,,,if you had enough case to drive the 115 and 140s the extra BC would be good I would think but in the cases I use I think those bullets are the sweet spot,,
