straight 280 rem on lapua brass f-class??

Lapua doesn't make .280 brass.
David Bailey won the 2012 F-Open National Championship with a .280. Remington brass I think.

I had some .280 RWS brass, which is great stuff. I got it from Huntington Die about a year ago. I too believe David Bailey shot Remington brass in his straight .280.

If you are speaking of forming 30-06 SPRG to 280 Rem it is possible, the neck length will be shortened significantly though. Whether or not anyone is shooting reformed cases in competition in don't know.

Do a search on Expiper on the forum. It's not straight 280 he uses rather the AI version, but he has had Dave Kiff produce a reamer designed specifically for reformed .30-06 Lapua brass. It should be feasible to have a 'straight 280' version done.

I have been shooting the AI for years

I had Dave Kiff make me a reamer using Lapua 30-06 as the parent brass, neck the brass down to 7mm and you have a false shoulder so load and fireform.
