Count Hogula

Proper dental term is an incisor mis-match. You did the G-H a favor as it would have starved to death.
Have one mounted to get laughs from people.

I agree. He was tiny compared to the rest of this year's litter.

When I shot it I was watching him shove clover in it's mouth like a squirrel holds nuts to eat. Clipped him across the head with a 223. As you can see from the photos of mine and others, at least one tooth is missing. since rodents incisors continue to grow through out their life, they must continually wear them down. If the teeth don't line up to wear against each other, this is the result.
I hope this helps,

Lloyd

A good friend of mine (the guy who invented the "Mil-dot Master) shot a chuck in upstate NY, whose front incisors went completely around 1-1/2 times - and they were symmetrical.

I thought that they have teeth that will continuously grow unless they can keep them ground down by chewing. The overgrown teeth show some sort of issue and they are probably better off with a craniotomy
