After I had a hunting rifle fall 100 feet down a rock face on a backpack hunting trip, I have the short-range zero for all my rifles written on my drop chart. If you only have 10 rounds with you, one shot at 38 yards, adjust and then one or tow more at 100 to 200 is an efficient way to get a rifle back in the game. Beats hiking 15 miles for a target and more ammo......
