First rule... watch where you point a firearm - no matter what else happens, if the firearm is pointed in a safe direction, there can be no harm.
All the rest are secondary.

KEEP THE MUZZLE POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION. Following this ONE rule means everything else that happens if you do this, will merely be a somewhat interesting harmless story.
