WHAT IDEAL SIZE OF CROSS HAIR AND DOT FOR 600 TO 1000 YD SHOOTING ?

What would you guys say would be the ideal SIZE ( THICKNESS ) of cross hairs and dot on a scope for 600 yard to 1000 yard shooting ? this is for target and hunting prairie dogs , coyotes .

**** The key in my situation is I am 57 wear glasses and don't see as will as I use too.... ha ha.. Sightron III 10-50X60 LRDT I THINK THE CROSS HAIRS could be to thin ? I bought a used weaver a few months ago and sent it in and i think they double the thickness of cross but did not put on the packing slip what the actual thickness was. I need to call them and find out. it did help a lot. But what would you suggest on thickness of cross hairs on a big long range scope for me ? thanks. Marty

I have the lrtd sightron reticle and don't like it for the hunting I do... hard to pickup the small dot quickly when hunting...for me anyway. However I like it very much for target shooting.

Thinking maybe a illuminated cross hairs on a sightron 10-50x60 is what I need. I just wish sightron would make a regular cross hair with illuminated dot. That's all I want. no Moa or MD. Something simple. Martyd
