284 for me, good barrel life, easy to tune, and it will shoot inside pretty much everything, wind drift wise, except for maybe a 300 wsm with a 230 berger.

Whenever I see that phrase I cringe. It is an inherently false claim wrapped in pseudo expertise. I do agree on the other factors, but inherent accuracy is totally baseless. YMMV.

I dunno. I've loaded for a lot of rifles over the past 20 years. .223s are surprisingly easy to find 0.5 MOA (or better) loads for. I've not seen that in rifles in other cartridges (except for the .222). 0.5 MOA loads are usually harder to come by. Perhaps your experience is different.

That's my reamer Bob. You need to turn the necks down to NO MORE than 13K and 12K is better!
