Oh I'll be there, I was just asking so some others who are on the fence would know if there were spots or not. I can't wait for another gstaylorg butt kickin.

There will be some very fine shooters there. May well be my butt getting kicked. Regardless of the results, it's going to be fun!

Gene, rather than worrying about the squadding, if I were in your shoes I'd be more concerned about making sure my bipod mount was tight :). Seriously, I really have no feel for how the squadding is done here, yet. I was on 3rd relay for the State match last Aug and for the more recent June match, so who knows. However, in anticipation that we might be squadded on adjacent lanes in the same relay, I'll be happy to eat a couple big bowls of chili and beans for dinner on Friday night (LOL).

Did you shoot in the St Louis match Thurs? Just curious to see how everyone from Marshall shot. Will you be at the ENGC match next weekend? If so, see you there.

No I had to work, and no beans for you! I went and purchased a grade 8 bolt for that damn bipod can't I'll be using wrenches to tighten it up LOL

I'm bumping this up since this battle is about underway. I want to watch this match and hopefully attend next year. Good luck shooters!

Yep, going to be warm with a heat gun blowing on you from behind. Ya'll have fun this weekend, I can't make it this time. Seems my busy/non-shooting weekends have conflicted with this match all year.

Went out this morning and the conditions were similar to those predicted for sturdy except possibly a few degrees cooler. It wasn't bad at all...I was the only person on the 600 yd range...beautiful day!

You must be steam propelled Greg ! Lol. Keep a bucket of water handy for Rod!!

First match I ever shot in at ENGC, the temperature got up to ~103-104 degrees F. At the time, shooters on the actual firing line weren't covered. There were a couple shooters that bowed out after the first match due to the heat. I didn't think it was too bad. I felt the heat much more severely in a couple of the matches on Sunday in the MO State Championship at Bucksnort, boy did it feel hot and steamy. Of course, I'm several years older now, so that may be part of it. Anyone shooting at ENGC this weekend (and most likely the State Match in August also), absolutely do not forget to stay fully hydrated. Even though the firing line is fully covered, bring plenty of water/fluids, it's going to be very hot and heat exhaustion or heat stroke is a bad deal. There will be plenty of water available for anyone pulling in the pits.

For inquiring minds, here are the July scores from today. Wind wasn't horrible, but very twitchy, fishtailing from 5:00-7:00 rapidly, and it was enough to push you out into the 9 ring occasionally if you got caught (which I did, several times :(). We had a few small storm cells pass through in the early AM, and the cloud cover stayed around until around the start of third matches for everyone, which kept the temps fairly reasonable, much less hot than predicted. Congrats to Damon Cali and Shane Miller for their wins in F-TR and F-Open, respectively!

I was wondering if that storm was on you guys but that cooled air had to feel good. Good shooting all and that guy from Fargo that shot 2 cleans today! Wow Kenneth Foster 600-44x , that's awesome shooting!!
