My question would be, what is your purpose? That Sinclair rest IMHO is a very good rest, especially at that price AND having the metal plate. But if you are looking at competing, the JJ Rest is the way to go, but then open your wallet. Dan Greenlaw has built me and some of my friends, some very nice rests and for the money, they're hard to beat and work well. But they are not like a JJ.....But then you don't pay that price either. Probably doesn't help you much but consider the quality curve and what you need for your purpose(s). Good luck in making your choices and have fun no matter which way you decide to go.
