Norm brass seems to be ready avaliable. Better then Remington anyway. The Remington rifles all come with a 14 twist so your going to be limited to 55 gr bullets. But, the price is about right. Try some Hogdon 414 ball powder and go for it.BUY!!! You will love it. 4064 and Sierra 50 grain Blitz . 1 grain x 100=fps. 38 grains x 100 = 3800 fps.
Bought my first one used and musta shot 3000 rounds thru it. Throat looked like fireplace andiron. Really cracked.
Changed to 55 grain loaded WAY out. Still shot <0.50 at 100.
Used 4350 and 52 grain Nosler solid base for deer. Killed Txxxxxxxx deer second longest distance - 425 yds.

Love my Swifts. I happen to have an extra vssf that I might part with.its in new condition. I put a scope on it and haven't needed it yet. I mean Isn't 4 enough? I shoot 50 bt at 4000 fps. I love teaching squirrels acrobatic lessons
