Did you find that primers made a difference ? Did you let the magazine determine what OAL you would use ?My CZ in .221 Fireball likes 18 grains of RL-7 with 40 v-max. I tried H4198 but the RL-7 was more accurate.
Groups no bigger than .6 at 100 yards. I settled on this as I have in the past... damn near wore
barrels out looking for smaller groups. This rifle is my truck gun for occasional coyote while out
and about. Getting about 3000 FPS.
I used remington 71/2 and never checked any other primers. All rounds fit magazine and close enough to lands for me.Did you find that primers made a difference ? Did you let the magazine determine what OAL you would use ?
I might add that you will want to glass bed the CZ as this would be a big plus to tighten the groups with this rifle. For those of you who have/have had this cartridge AND have tried several loads what are they and HOW good are they ? One rifle will be a Rem.700 and the other a CZ527. I know the shooter determines a lot of the grouping but I'll do my part . PS: 3/4" loads are not what good enough !

CCI br4's both 17.7 or 18 grains of IMR 4198 shoot great, 18 grains being a little better.Three shot groups in .2's and .3's at 100 yds. I can't remember for sure, but 300 was something like 1.5 or less. I forget the AOL. I know it jumps a good ways though.
