Guys should join the NRA for what they stand for, and what they fight for. To do that takes money.

Even worse though in my book is the majority of firearms owners who don't belong AT ALL, at ANY level, and let the minority carry their load for them.

If you can afford a rifle, a shotgun, or a handgun, you can certainly afford the cost of one box of ammo every year to pay for an NRA annual membership.

Maybe you could try holding your breath till then....but it is your choice; as are many things in the United States, .....for now (health insurance notwithstanding).

I am currently represented by a couple of counterfeit, freedom hating, socialistic senators, regardless of how hard I pulled the lever against them but I haven't chosen to move yet, so for now, I'll support the NRA in hopes of not losing any more freedoms and maybe someday we'll all be represented by folks who respect the constitution and the NRA can focus on firearm training.

I always liked that song, and that's a good version of it. But the older I get, the more the fact that it's about violence against an intimate partner bothers me.

Nugent has claimed he's a LEO, and that he's "trained with" SEALS and Rangers, and they consider him one of them.

I assure you, they don't.
