168gr Amax @ 2.81" COAL
Winchester brass
42.4gr 8208XBR
43.8gr 8208XBR (this is over Hodgdon max)

168gr Amax @ 2.81" COAL
Hornady brass
44.4gr Varget
45.8gr Varget

No idea on jump...factory mile-long 700 chamber.

I'm curious estimated velocity for the above loads @ 26" length, and estimated velocity for 18" barrel.

Quick Load doesn't have inputs for barrel twist rates or different makes of brass. For more accurate results, your actual case volume in grains of water is important.

For 308 Winchester (estimated case capacity = 56 grs, 168 gr Amax, 2.81 COAL, 26 inch barrel, 70 degrees F.
42.4 gr 8208XBR:
2737 fps @ 57833 psi (estimated chamber pressure)
43.8 gr 8208XBR:
2814 fps @ 63815 psi (estimated chamber pressure)

44.4 gr Varget:
2756 fps @ 58679 psi (estimated chamber pressure)
45.8 gr Varget:
2835 fps @ 64835 psi (estimated chamber pressure)

For 308 Winchester (estimated case capacity = 56 grs, 168 gr Amax, 2.81 COAL, 18 inch barrel, 70 degrees F.

Quick Load doesn't have inputs for barrel twist rates or different makes of brass. For more accurate results, your actual case volume in grains of water is important.

It does have twist rate, click the Pistol icon, upper right-top tool bar, doesn't change much though.

I don't have quick load or I would have given you info also.
You will find that knowledgeable members on this site will share a wealth of information with you. 99% of the members are solid reasonable folks.

I applaud those who have access to the program and share the info, I am old enough that I believe that if you have purchased something (and that includes access to information) you can damn well share it with whomever you want to. For some reason this doesn't sit well with many "progressive" personalities.
