Donovan, I checked the powder capacity ( not H2O) a while back. Best I remember the AI held about .5-.7 more grains of R-15. I was not really looking for more capacity when I started with this chambering. My match load of R-15 (32.3g), almost completely fills the case without crunching the powder. I believe that is what the PPC guys want, near 100% density in the case. I am thinking the 40 degree shoulder may make a slightly better combusion chamber for a more efficient, consistent burn like you said. Samuel Hall
Sam and Tim, could you post reamer prints for us to look at?
I am aware of that, but Kiff said with the angle of the shoulder, you gain more than .012" in the neck length. Side by side its right between BRDX and Dasher, and is what I asked for.as compared to a 6br imp. print the shoulder -body is 1.1190 and the shoulder- neck is 1.2346 and the Dasher is … shoulder - body 1.1973 and shoulder- neck 1.3129. Tim your print is almost a Dasher less .012…… jim
I have not been able to get any feelwhat would be really good looking at 80 grain Berger an jlk swampworks 75 gr a max will run 3300 but I don't think it will do what we try to achieveStan, What bullet are you going to shoot at 600 with your 22 Dasher Short? I wish Berger would come out with about a 85g Hybrid to get over a .500 BC. Samuel Hall
