I have a couple custom actions with build parts for some varmint rigs and would like to use a different gunsmith for 2 of the builds. It's time to try someone new out. I have heard their name pop up and surely some of you guys have used them or are using them. Sooooooo......how did your rifles turn out and shoot?

Mine turned out great(several).Stick is a personal friend of mine. He has been a great help to me in my quest to build my own rifles. He recently sold the business to Michael Vesperman, who has worked there since graduating from gunsmithing school. He still goes in to the shop and works with Michael. I have known Michael since he went to work there. I believe they will do you a great job.

I have to agree with everything Mike said (Hello Mike). I got a Build currently there. And shooting 2 that were built last year.

I am shooting a rifle I bought from Highlife and it shoots great.
Never have seen a beading job as nice as the one my gun has.

Mikael does excellant work. You will not be disappointed with the build quality. They have done several for me, from 6BR to 375 CheyTac. All are shooters.

It is really nice that I live about 10 minutes from them too!

Blast from the past! Glad too see you"re still in the game! I still have regrets on selling that rifle! It shot lights out right out of the Gate.

I have 3 bench rest and 1 hunting rifle built by Stick and Mikael.They have all been excellent ! Stick is the reason I got into competition shooting as I just wanted a good accurate hunting gun until I visited his shop and saw a Stiller viper stainless steel action on a Robertson stock and realized that I could resist anything but temptation.Hang in there Stick.

Well i guess i need to give ole don a call, sure didn't know he passed his business down to michael. Michael sure got mentored by one of the best. Don's work as good as it gets. Dons a true machinist and not only a contribute to the shooting community but his machine work on race motors second to none in his earlier years. Don did all our machine work on the race motors back in the day and most in west TX. Kinda funny lost track of that rascal through the years and i heard a guy named stick starks that did gunsmithing here and there. Well i got on the phone and sure enough it was my ole buddy don. I think over on the past blogs that ole fart did some smithing on some guns for a guy named kenny adams that won the worlds at raton in f-class. I'm sure if michael is doing the work now its very good as well. Bill

Seems there are a lot of former engine builders that are now gunsmiths. John Pierce comes to mind, and I think Chad Dixon used to be involved in motorsports prior to gunsmithing.

On the flop Al Nyhus left us to go racing. I would have bought his 30br when it was on the board but I was 30 minutes late.

Stick is a great guy and one of the best. S&S has always done great work and I have no reason to believe they will not continue the tradition.
