I like it!

I have always liked Hawkens no matter who makes them, just never stepped up to going that way though.

I always thought it would be cool to set up a camera that looked and operated like a scoped stock with the trigger being the shutter operation and look through it much like a scope with reticle. It could be a pretty sophisticated unit having the weight, look and balance of a true hunting rifle. I would really like to have something like this. You could camera " hunt" any time any where and anything. Is there this type of product available in the market place?......Sorry Off Topic.....Random Thoughts

A couple years back I ran into a guy selling a lefty Lyman great plains rifle for a price I could not refuse. Not nearly as beautiful as your new smokepole, but very similar.

They are fun. Now you can obsess over patch material, lube, how to clean, and a whole new set of variables :)

I used a John Browning .54 back in the middle 80's. Killed 2 antelope, 5 deer and one cow elk in Wyoming. Should have never sold that one. I tried to get back into muzzle loading again 3 years ago. After being away from it for almost 20 years everything had changed. Scopes, powder pellets, sabots and who knows what else! Got disgusted and just stepped away from it.

That's WHEN you should have 'stepped back in time'!! They call it 'primitive season' but IMO.....scopes and pistol bullets just don't fit my idea of what our forefathers had to contend with! And when one gets right down to it.....all of the so-called latest advancements.....only come down to enticing the younger generation into another world....about which they have to spend multiple $$$$$$!

I shall guarantee you...the next buck I take with this rifle....will be a bigger and happier experience, if not better than the first one I took 60 years ago!!

That is a BEAUTIFUL rifle and everything including lock, stock, barrel, and caliber is just right!!!

Love my "smoke poles" and have had endless hours enjoying them.

Congratulations

I live less than 5 miles from Track of the Wolf. It looks like a beauty! I will gladly test drive the rifle for you!;)
