I have a savage with SSS benchrest stock, Sav2, and a Rock Creek 223a barrel and no one will even consider giving me the sum of the parts.

Sir, I think you already answered your question.

It's not as nice. People like nice. Therefore, eventually, many get tired of scrimping on the nice, so they spend the green to get what they want.

I’ve got a Savage 10 FCP HS listed for what i think is a fair price . Only been used on bench about 3 times so close to new . I dropped everything a few hundred bucks and I can’t get a hit on it . Don’t think it’s because it’s a Savage because the thing shoots really well . In fact I might just rebarrel and keep it . Is your savage in the classified ? It could be the .223 caliber barrel .

Depends on what kind of shooting you are going to do?
    12 FCLass is RBRPRE
    12 Benchrest is RBLPRE

I had to also remove a little stock material. But it was worth it. If it's in your junk pile send it to me. I'll pay postage.

I bought a 12FTR, 308 in 2010 for our FTR group. I adjusted the trigger to 5 oz but it would lock up. I didn't like it that light anyway so I ended up at 15oz which I personally like better and never had another problem. Rebarrelled it to 6 Dasher and finally did some winning. Most of the guys I shot against were shooting 700's in various cartridges. I sold that rifle a couple years ago and the new owner is sub 2" at 600 yards. Barlow

Maybe someday a woman will see fit to date me and I will let her shoot it.

I’ll bet if it had a 6mm barrel on it that it would have sold by now !

I know, glutted market. .223 may be an issue too. the Savage F/TR is probably the better choice for a .223.

It is a perfect 600 yard starter for a kid. So easy to load for and shoots 80s lights out and 52 match bullets even better!!!
