... do you do other than precision rifle ?
I started rimfire challenge last nite. What a blast !
I did some (very little) Short-Range Benchrest A LONG time ago. It was fun and I enjoyed it. I shot 1 match of those "Clay Bird" matches. That was truly a blast! I had a GREAT time. I have a "feeling" that those "Varmint Shoots", "Egg-Shoots" and the like, are really fun and should have some NRA recognition if they do not. I currently shoot F-Open and to me this is a HUGE challenge for me at least, and I am having the time of my life. Try several and you may end up having a bunch of various competitions to enjoy!
Steel Challenge for exhilaration.
After so many years of attempting precision pistol shooting and some High Power and 3 position rimfire, it is FUN.
Did trap and skeet for 7 years. I also was an amateur boxer. Or are we only talking shooting?
What optic is on your rifle?
Tho Im really liking the Holosun.
Thanks a lot for the info. I have a really cool SHTF, home defense 9mm AR. I need a slick little sight like that for it.
I raced sailboats professionally for a few years, semi-pro many more. Shooting, I love silhouette shooting too.
Used to bass fish trsveled to bass boat central rallies and shoot pistols, ARA 22 rifle.
Steel challenge, Uspsa, Ipda became my favorites ....
Moved to the Charlotte area and started IBS and club CF a yr ago.
I also like Hand routing wood signs.
Highpower. Mostly across the course. I used to do more long range and a little mid range. Might get into that some more again, but it would probably be Palma flavored, 'cause iron sights.
I've done some IDPA and Steel Challenge, but that was more just to do it than to actually be competitive.
Did in the Past : NRA Service Rifle M1 Garand , M1A & AR-15 ,then to NRA Match Rifle. Indoor Small Bore , Indoor Pistol
Today Palma , 1000 Yard Any/Any F/Class Mid & Long Range
Today Sightron 10x50
Had Vortex GE and Mark 1
I’ve often suspected that was you from BBC. I was a member there back in the early 2000s. Seems like I remember seeing you post on there about getting into rimfire benchrest if you’re the right guy. Did you live in Mississippi before?
Im a bbc’er too. Just sold my bullet/300x and bought an xpress with a g2 200ho on it
At our Club We shoot a different match each week. 1st Sunday XTC, 1st Saturday Rim Fire benchrest 50 yard, 2nd Sunday F Class (300 yard), 3rd Saturday 100 yard Rim Fire, 4th Sunday Benchrest (200 yard) and if there is a 5th Sunday in the month we shoot whatever the members want. Which is usually F Class. Getting hard to get people to shoot XTC. Just a lot of work compared to the others. The pistol guys shoot that run and gun stuff and Sass. I can't hit anything with a pistol so I don't do those.
I sold my little Skeeter back in 2011 when I moved from Central Florida to SW PA. I stayed active on bbc for a couple of years until irreconcilable differences between Al and I resulted in me being banned.
I’m planning on moving down to Tennessee within the next year or two. I’ll probably get another little when that happens.
I shot small bore silhouette, small bore and CF pistol silhouette, IPSC, IDPA, Steel Challenge, Rim fire BR, Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, and now F Class.
