Congrats to Omar Alonzo for his F-Open win, using a 6.5 x 47 against the BIG boomers!! As close as this match was, Omar, Tim, Johnny and Gilbert had to be biting their nails down to the cuticles! LOL!!! Peter Johns besting everyone from all disciplines! GREAT job P.J.! Awesome job by all!!

Big Congratulations to my buddy, Greg Troxell. Him shooting a service rifle, 20 inch 223 AR, and a 4.5 power scope, is just 1 point behind the Any Any winner, but out Xed all sling shooters.

His rifle and load were just humming this past weekend, and he shot great. Average velocity across 3 days was 1810 fps and SD of 15. Here's an example.

Forgot to mention our 15 year old new service rifle junior shooter shining star, Hester Hoke, finishing 3rd. She is just into her 2nd year in high power. She has 5 more years in the program to blossom.

Good job, Hester. The Cleaning Lady, as the team coordinator calls her, has cleaned every stage except standing.

Congrats to all the winners in Texas. You all had some great scores in that heat. I see Gary Henry shot great with that Palma gun and irons against some tuff competition.

It was a battle to the end! Bayou didn’t show her teeth this year so scores were very tight but just enough wind to keep it interesting. Good turnout in all divisions. Hopefully we will get the schedule worked out next year so it won’t be the same weekend as LA.
Yes, there were a lot of different matches on the same weekend in the south/southwest. Palo Alto, Bayou, Capitan NM and Phoenix

Maybe move it to November so it’s not so damn hot and humid..:D
Yeah, we're considering that. Of course, on Monday the temperature went down and yesterday was in the 60s in the morning, same as today.

Gotta balance out the late Nationals, Thanksgiving and other stuff. We'll let you know plenty in advance, but for now your focus should be on TSRA LR in April.
