Help with slippery shooting bench

Get a sheet of rubber stable mat from Tractor Supply/Atwoods/etc. Cut a piece off the size that you need. Stable mat is heavy enough to stay in place and the rubber will provide grip. Just put it on the table to shoot, take it with you when you leave.
I have tried that as I have horses and it doesn't work, still moves around. It could be that is because they were old and hardened, but I was surprised by how much they moved around.

I few years ago we built a shooting bench/picnic table out of Trex and it was fine until I started getting into the precision game. Now, I can't keep my rear bag from sliding around after a shot and it moves completely off target causing me to have to set it up every time. I have tried carpets with rubber backing, a bag stabilizer from Protektor, water on the bench, rubber mats from Home Depot, stall mats - nothing works. Since the bench is on my brother in laws property, I can't just change the top, so I'm looking for ideas how to make it "sticky". It can't be permanent because they use it as a picnic table occasionally.
My current setup is a Cowan front rest with the slick material on the bag and the rear is a protector with a carry handle. I have waxed the bags and put stock tape on and that really helps on the concrete benches at the range, but not on the Trex.
Redid my bassboat floor marine carpet glued to my portable rest works fine.. Just my two cents Tommy Mc

Interesting. There are a couple different kinds that I have seen. The stuff I use is the thicker product that Tractor supply offers. It has texture on the bottom and is quite heavy. It seems to stay put on my work benches but I have never tried shooting off it so I can't say what it would do under recoil.

Cell phone gel pad for you vehicle. Sticky on both sides, when it looses its stick, rejuvenate with alcohol pad. Stupid cheap from gas station
