2019 Fclass Long Range scores.

Based solely on the scores, I'm guessing there might have been a light breeze. ;)

Great shooting everyone; looking forward to tomorrows results.

Based on WHO PLACED WHERE on the list, I may be wrong, however, I think what relay you were on played a significant role in your placement on the list.
Not so much in F-TR. We were randomly squadded it in two today and I don’t think either really had any advantage. Maybe a slight advantage in the first match to the first relay (I was in 2). Matches two and three were pretty hard on everybody no matter which you were in. If you got behind it you got crushed.

The shifts were running from 4 o’clock to 7 o’clock on about a 2 and a half minute cycle time with varying speed but running 8-12 with gusts to 20 +.

Here’s today matches plus the two day aggregate.

Guys

Today’s scores do and don’t reflect the winds! Due to the fact that no one was seeded in any sort of manner on first day, scores varied greatly! F-Open and FTR guys were scattered across all four relays on day one. Some relays were very easy wind wise, and some were monsters! Relay 1 today got hosed like I’ve never seen!!! 35 mph winds, gusty and switching had most the top shooters doing their best to just stay in paper! In my 10 plus years of shooting, I’ve never seen a tougher relay! Couple of the guys figured it out, launching them to top of leaders board. All relays today got hammered, but those of relay 1 got the worst of it. It sure flipped the leaders board! Strong winds forecasted again for team matches tomorrow, so should be fun!

We are all wishing there were shirts that say “I survived Raton 2019”.

The way some of the veterans of this place talk, this was by far some of the craziest weather they’ve ever seen.

To be in the pits and watch someone go from an X to a left 6 to a right 7 and back to a left 8, the to a ten was one of the most mental things I’ve ever experienced being in the pits. Then knowing you were getting on a bus to go shoot in the same conditions.
