2019 Fclass Long Range scores.

Thanks guys, It was a great match shooting and hanging out with friends all week. Weather was beautiful and winds were sporty to say the least, especially on Friday. Consistency was key, not having a train wreck was the objective all week. Look forward to shooting/seeing everyone again at future matches. I would like to say congrats to everyone that shot/placed well in the match also, it was not a easy match to shoot and tip my hat to everyone. I want to give a shout out to my good friend and gunsmith Shawn Broussard of Titan Precision Rifles for going above and beyond to get my rifles where they need to be. Thanks brother, appreciate everything you do! I would also like to thank MPA chassis for supplying the chassis I used, they've been great to me and are great guys.

Congrats to Brian Bowling for the Open win, well done big boy! You definitely put the work in and it paid off.

Congrats to all the winners and survivors! In those tough conditions what caliber/bullet combo seemed to “cheat the wind” the best in F-Class Open? I am sure the best wind readers and best shooters ended on top, but it seems over the years of F-Open the 30 cal. (300WSM and 300 RSAUM) has been gaining ground on the 7mm’s. Looks like this match was a good test to see which is better in unfavorable conditions.Sincerely, Samuel Hall

Pretty sure the top 3 in F Open were 284’s.

From what I've seen over the years watching really good shooters in the Open class is that there isn't a huge difference between the 7s and big 30s. Guys have won many matches with both. Recoil seems to be a factor with some guys and big 30s. I think that's why most run 7s and in this particular match it didn't matter what you ran. A bad wind call killed you either way.......lol

Not sure if you heard... but next year you have to shoot a .223 Rem. It's in the rules somewhere... if not, it should be :D
Only for the immediate past National Champion.....rumor has it...

He'll be fine Monty.... just have to shoot those super ultra high BC A-tips

As a Sharpshooter I certainly harbored no illusion of winning a National Championship, but I did have a few modest goals for my first NRA National Match. No cross fires, check, no misses, check, all shots in the black, check, score high enough to advance to Expert, not after Friday, win my Classification, no but third place was OK after Friday, have fun, triple check, the Bald Eagles ran a great match and I thank them for their tremendous effort on behalf of the shooters. I was warned about the Whittington Winds but nothing in my past experience had prepared me for the Friday conditions, it humbled almost all of the competitors.
